So what is an immerzeo? It is simply what Cradle of English makes of the potential for transporting travellers back in time. It immerses them in the experience of exploring Fleet Street and its history, following the alleyways, nooks, and crannies of this ancient quarter of the old city.

New and immersive technologies are bringing history alive. Virtual and Augmented Reality; Artificial Intelligence and increasingly realistic computer games – all will bring us huge changes in the worlds of tourism and online education. And all this imagination and innovation will transport people far beyond the earlier limits of simple video and audio.

Open an immerzeo and follow the arrows, clicking your way around as you would on a museum tour or in exploring a new house. Opening the information points will reveal something of the history in that spot, highlighting people or places – all of them significant – but long gone now.
